Digital Training Institute got an important mention in Seanad Éireann last week when Senator Hildegarde Naughton congratulated  Transition Year students from Salerno Secondary School in Salthill, Galway who are currently studying Young Minds Online.

The course developed by Digital Training Institute is being piloted in Salerno during the 2013/2014 Academic year.

Senator Naughton says, “I commend the Transition Year students and teachers in your school on their proactive initiative in helping develop and understand online etiquette, safeguarding ones privacy online and tacking the issue of cyber-bullying.

“It’s great to see young people empowering themselves and taking the lead in understanding the benefits and the negatives of online communication and making suggestions as how to handle ones digital footprint in cyber space.”
