Joanne has developed a niche voice for herself in the arena of law enforcement and social media.
Many years of study and practice in both distinct but now converging disciplines culminated in Joanne’s first book being published on this very topic in 2015. Joanne has a Masters in Digital Marketing (researching An Garda Síochána’s (Irish Police force) use of social media), a Masters in Journalism (researching the Morris Tribunal) a public inquiry into allegations of wrong-doing amongst members of An Garda Síochána in the Donegal Division). If you would you like to speak to Joanne further about your social media strategy in a law enforcement setting, please fill in the contact form at the bottom of this page.
Joanne's book, Social Media Under Investigation, Law Enforcement and the Social We, is the very first in-depth look at social media from an Irish perspective.
Joanne now develops eLearning courses and resources for law enforcement both on her own online school but also on US-based law enforcement site:
Joanne was a guest speaker at the 2015 SMILE conference (social media, the Internet and law enforcement) speaker in held in Phoenix, Arizona:
