Young Minds Online Final Showase
After seven months of hard work the Transition Year girls in Salerno Secondary School, Salthill have completed Young Minds Online Transition Year course. Next week we will celebrate their achievement and commitment to being ambassadors of best practice online at the Young Minds Online final showcase in Salerno school. At the final showcase girls will be showing a film about cyberbullying to some of the students of Salerno and prsenting their work, They will also receive certificates and prizes on the night for their hard work and dedication.
Over the past seven months the girls in Salerno have developed a best practice Social Media Use Policy for themselves, their peers and their school, Developed, Launced and Executed an Anti-Cyberbullying Campaign, Learned skills in Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, Web Marketing, Social Media Marketing and Direct Marketing, Learned to Protect and Manage their personal reputation when engaging in online activity, Developed a course for parents in social media and Completed a study of Social Media Use among students of Salerno school.
We have received great feedback from the girls about Young Minds Online in their ‘My Social Media Journey’ essays and will be presenting prizes at the final showcase next week for some of our favourite essays.
It has been an absolute pleasure to work with the students and teachers of Salerno Secondary School and we look forward to celebrating their achievement and commitment to being ambassadors for best practice online at the final showcase next week.
