In this special episode, I pay tribute to my good friend and colleague Marie Collins of DigiPulse Marketing who sadly passed away on January 19th 2018.

Marie worked with me on many client projects at Digital Training Institute and for a year managed all our social networks.

Her death has left a huge gap in my life and I wanted to remember her in a way that she would have appreciated. She was a sharp, smart, dedicated and diligent digital marketer. So, Marie this podcast is dedicated to you.

Please join me and some of her other digital colleagues in remembering and celebrating Marie.

Marie Collins - Bye A While

Tribute Interview

In this tribute episode, we are going back through the archives to listen back to my interview with Marie about the about the challenges and opportunities for small business owners in the digital age.

Marie was oh so passionate about small business owners and particularly in Cork and Kerry where she had developed a strong base.

Marie shouted loud for small business owners. Having worked much of her career in SMEs, her ‘hands-on’ internet marketing experience and qualifications positioned her as an excellent consultant and trainer for this sector.

In her own words:

“I understand your challenges, time constraints and your sense of ‘not knowing enough’. I’m your woman!”

Let’s listen back to my interview with Marie from 2017:

Shout-Outs: Three of Marie’s Best Content Pieces

In today’s podcast, I’m sharing three of Marie’s best content pieces.

1. Her video update sharing tips and updates in social media

Marie always started her videos so warmly with “Oh hello guys, it’s Marie here.”

2. Marie’s Canva Tips

Marie was a big fan of visually storytelling tool Canva. She had such an eye for online aesthetics and delivered courses on Canva for many Local Enterprise Offices and business groups. In fact, I recommended her to the LEO here in Galway who were seriously impressed with her.

3. That’s Business Series

Marie had just begun a content series called “That’s Business” and understanding the importance of content marketing she began to interview small business owners in her own unique style.

Her last published interview is with Val Mullally, author, Life Coach and Trainer.

Marie was exceptionally talented on social media and it’s worth taking a look at her own social media content.
