Salerno Student Presents Course for Teens to Minister for Education

Young Minds Online Goes to Leinster House 6th Year Salerno Secondary School student Sophie Burke has presented a course for teenagers to Minister for Education Minister Ruairí Quinn. The Leaving Certificate student took a day out of her studies to meet Minister Quinn in his office in Leinster House to share details of Young Minds Online. The Minister was impressed with Sophie’s presentation and congratulated her on her work to protect young people’s online reputation. Young Minds Online in Leinster House

Young Minds Online Presented to Minister for Education Joanne Sweeney-Burke, Managing Director of Digital Training Institute along with her daughter Sophie and Mr. Brian Fogarty of Salerno Secondary School, Salthill met with the Minister for Education, Ruairi Quinn this week in Leinster House. The meeting was facilitated by Senator Hildegarde Naughton. The meeting was arranged to brief Minister Quinn on the Transition Year course Young Minds Online developed by Joanne and her daughter Sophie. Mr. Fogarty attended the meeting with Joanne and Sophie to represent Salerno Secondary School in Salthill who were the first school in the country to use
