Are you a Snapchat or Instagram fan? Perhaps you use both social apps? But when it comes to the stories feature we are posing the question: Snapchat Stories versus Instagram stories, which side are you on?
Personally, I’m a Snapchtter mad-hatter and love the personalisation of the stories I create daily. I also re-purpose them for sharing on Facebook primarily.
Video is a major marketing tool and will become even more important as 80% of content on the Internet will be video in just a few years.
Snapchat has 150 million daily users captures video very well with its very popular Snapchat Stories feature. In a move that many see as a direct clone of this feature, Instagram launched its own very similar feature, confusingly also called Instagram Stories.
Yet, there are some key differences between both as well as clear advantages for one over the other, depending on your viewpoint. So which camp on your on?
Snapchat Stories has significantly better filters allowing for a deeper level of customisation compared to Instagram Stories. So for those looking for the ultimate in customisation, Snapchat Stories is the best option. However, while the filter options may be less available on Instagram Stories, its main advantage is scale. The Instagram community is a much larger place with 300 million daily users.
